Back in Orange after a large trip overseas....lasting 2 years.
Feeling thoroughly exhausted and under-developed I am trying to make a decision on what body of work to develop next...I would love to jump in a do it all but I lack space and funds to do so.
I have a massive sky series to develop, some resin works and I would like to play around with some paper craft works.
So really my life is full of big decison...maybe I should stop procrastinating and just get on with it!

Trapped in a Grey world

Getting very uninspired at the moment. London is grey nothing but grey, we have one day of sunny followed by weeks of grey. My mood is very affected...Maybe when it is better weather i will feel better....maybe

Tactile Art Work

Thinking why can't blind people or the vision impaired enjoy just as much art as the rest of us? Every gallery has the no touch rule, yes I understand why. But what about art that is made to be touched. Tactile works. Then I also thought of good name and idea for an art auction too. Art and Sub-auction. Playing on Art and Seduction. As the works get auctioned off there is less available....perhaps a charity on where you buy a tickets to auction with. 1 ticket is worth say $50 and the auctioneer needs to bid in tickets and slowly through the night the people have less tickets and this is where the "sub" comes in. Perhaps have it based on tactile works and the money raised goes to the blind society or Fred Hollows Society.
Hmmm, I like the idea of tactile works, I for one LOVE touching things!

Eiffel Tower

On a recent visit to Paris, we visited the Eiffel Tower twice. We sat at the bottom in the Champs du Mars and watched the sunset behind the Tower. I have many photos and have been trying to work these into an art piece. I want to reflect the peacefulness yet exhilarating feel it gave me. I am a huge fan of sunsets and have been working on a painted series, however being in London I am yet to build a artists kit to create these. I have been sketching and creating mini watercolours (I have never used watercolour before, tips are appreciated). I thought I would post one of the photos from the base.

Londons burning

I have now located to London, UK. Just in time for the London Riots, which I have moved to the suburb, Camberwell which is smack bang between Peckham and Brixton.

My partner, Clive, and I are living above a pub which he works at and I am just a slack arse without a job. Stating to get a bit bored but I am trying to get a role I want and like not just another shitty casual role! I want something that will put me in the right direction when I eventually head back to Australia. Ho-hum just keep waiting I guess.

I will be doing some video edits to get a portfolio up here and some more drawings too as I was stupid enough not to do this BEFORE I left Australia.

Also I have a travel blog on wordpress... hey they have an easy to use iPhone app and blogger couldn't compete!
